Dave, I am working through this as you know and praying...I think the first question is do I believe Jesus expects this submission from us. Based on the verses I posted in the previous post, I must believe he does. I can think of no other reason for him to say what he did. Once I acknowledge this is necessary, I must stop rationalizing my less than complete dedication to him and obey the spirit as he reveals my sin to me.
